I am about to embark on a year long journey to China, with a stop-over to see my dear friend Jieun in Seoul, South Korea. It shall be an interesting journey, I suppose, since it has been almost ten years since my first year-long experience in the capital city, Beijing. Not only will I have a new perspective of the city this time around, but Beijing has transformed incredibly since my stay in 2003-2004. Last trip I was preparing for my SATs and Beijing was thinking about hosting the Olympics, while this time around I have graduated from college, finished GREs and China has just finished hosting the World Expo. My, how things have changed... Although, I am pretty sure the dumplings will be just as tasty :)
